HOW LONG WILL MY WINDOW TINT LAST?

The window film used by Electric Auto Films has the technology to make film color stable, thus carrying a lifetime warranty that guarantees no color change. This means that our window films do not turn purple like the cheap films sold in other shops or auto parts stores. Please see our Lifetime Limited Warranty for more information.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET A WINDOW TINT TICKET?

We offer FREE removal and replacement of the window tint (film and labor) in the case that you happen to get a “Fix-It” ticket. Bring the car in so that we can remove it. Once you are cleared, bring your vehicle back and we will install the film back on. All free of charge.

DO I NEED TO WAIT TO ROLL DOWN MY WINDOWS AFTER I GET THEM TINTED?

We recommend that you leave your vehicle windows rolled up for at least 24 hours after window film has been installed. This allows the film to cure and adhere to the glass before the window is moved.

WILL PAINT FADE DIFFERENTLY UNDER THE CLEAR AUTO BRA THAN ON THE REST OF THE VEHICLE?

Our invisible bra films are UV Stable, so the sun discolors the entire vehicle at the same rate. As long as you maintain the vehicle’s paint on a regular basis, washing and waxing, there will be virtually no difference.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL WINDOW TINT?

The amount of time varies, depending on your type of vehicle. A complete car can take 2 to 4 hours. Full-sized trucks generally take between an hour and an hour and a half. A set of front doors usually only takes 30-45 minutes. If old aftermarket film has to be removed, that can add anywhere from 30 minutes to half a day.

Film percentages stand for light transmission, or the amount of light that is allowed through the film. The lower the percentage, the darker the film
